Currently, we are seeking qualified candidates for a Lead Engineer - Water Products opening to join our Engineering organization.

Day to Day: 

The Lead Engineer - Water Products role has primary responsibility for:

* Mechanical Engineering responsibility for Consumer Products and Water Filtration Group. 
* Work with and supervise product designer to complete prints and release EN’s using Pro-E and Whirlpool systems. 
* Work closely with NAR IBU Category, NAR IBU PMO, Refrigeration Engineering, Ice & Water Engineering and engineering team. 
* Monitor Filter Quality and execute filter improvements. 
* Supervision of engineers, designers and technicians. 
* Seamlessly interact with USA and Chinese suppliers and our Technical Engineering Team at the Shenzhen Tech Center. 
* Travel both domestically and internationally from time to time. 
* Support Water Business Team monthly updates. 

What you will do: 
* Conduct POS scoping 
* Develop and execute PA test plans 
* Develop Sales Release for projects 
* Develop and execute project schedules using MS Project 
* Create and manage FMEA's , Safety Audits, TDP's , PHM's and Product Approvals 
* Execute PDTS Project management 
* Coordinate project meetings with cross functional teams 
* Coordinate Forced Failure Testing Process 
* Work with suppliers and cross functional team members 
* Travel time to time to supplier locations both domestically and internationally 
* Use Black Belt skills when needed 
What you Need to Succeed: 
* Mechanical Engineering Degree Required 
* Advanced Degree Desired 
* A minimum of 7 years experience in Project Management Required 
* A minimum of 3 years using Pro-E is highly desired. 
* PDE, Design Quality, Lean Experience Training Desired 
* Black Belt certification strongly desired. 
* Positive attitude and flexible disposition 
* Willingness and ability to travel including internationally.
