Job Summary:
INFORMATION PRODUCTS OVERVIEW
The Information Products group is part of Visa’s Global Solutions organization, which brings together product and client functions from across the company and aligns them more closely.
Information Products consists of two teams: the Offers & Loyalty team and the Risk Products & Business Intelligence team.  Each of these teams has overall responsibility for all aspects of product strategy and development in consumer and business products, as well as platform development and commercial information management. They are accountable for the global interoperability of Visa's products and services; developing new channel solutions and technology support; building alliances and solutions for new products, technologies, platforms and market segment penetration; and product analytics.
The position will reside in either the Offers & Loyalty team or the Risk Products & Business Intelligence team, focusing on the creation of new data-driven products to enhance the buying experience for Visa cardholders.  The position will participate in the development of product strategy, design, and implementation of these data products. 
The Offers & Loyalty position will focus specifically on the development of products that utilize Visa’s network, card-linked offers technology, big data, and mobile capabilities to support Visa’s US and global client marketing objectives.  Current live programs include “Kicks When You Buy” with the award-winning mobile app Shopkick, and the Sears “ShopYourWay Link” program (shopyourway.com/rewardspartners/link).
 
Responsibilities:
  • Provide information and analysis to inform plans regarding global, regional or country specific product strategy, product design, business requirements, development and implementation
  • Elaborate on product strategy including target clients, value proposition, features and capabilities; assist with product positioning and support development/enhancement of pricing strategy, create and manage financial pro-forma and business case(s).
  • Develop partnership strategy for engaging third party data providers/resellers for incorporation into gateway for identity management
  • Participate in product teams to oversee new product launches, new programs and manage existing programs to grow penetration/ activation/ usage of Visa products and services.
  • Conduct routine to moderately complex analysis of business opportunities, market trends, gaps, emerging segments and business trends.
  • Examine and recommend go to market delivery approach alternatives and sequencing, support business leaders in product sell-in support (competitive intelligence research on prospect’s current program, presentation preparation, etc.).
  • Engage in product risk analysis; obtain feedback and mitigation requirements associated with the execution of concept into market.
  • Develop and implement tools to track and report operational and financial performance metrics and monitor product performance.
  • Continuing competitive landscape assessment on Visa’s emerging solutions vs. marketplace modifications.
  • Manage and participate in long-term projects and strategic initiatives.
 
Qualifications
 
  • Undergraduate degree earned; MBA expected in 2015.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of full-time relevant work experience; strategy consulting, development of data/risk/business intelligence products, data/risk/business intelligence product or financial services experience, mobile/digital marketing, FMCG/product, engineering/software development, or financial services experience preferred.
  • Technical background (computer science, engineering, physics, math, etc) preferred for Risk & Business Intelligence position
  • Prior success in leading complex business initiatives, preferably in a strategic/product role.
  • Ability to lead and influence decisions of others in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
  • Exceptional written and oral presentation skills.  Ability to synthesize and present complex concepts tailored to most effectively inform and influence based on audience.
  • Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills; ability effectively interpret data to inform strategy and to develop comprehensive financial business cases.
