UBS seeks Head of AML Compliance - Singapore

Description As the Anti–money Laundering (AML) Compliance Head at UBS, you will be responsible for overseeing all AML matters affecting the Wealth Management (WM) business for Singapore. The responsibility covers an oversight of the Anti-money Laundering Compliance program to ensure an effective implementation of UBS AG group AML policies and local AML/CTF regulatory requirements and you will be responsible for management of the AML team.

You will assist senior management with identification of AML risks, fostering a compliance culture in the firm and optimize relations with the Regulators. You will also help in protecting the reputation of the Group, complying with applicable Group policies and standards and local laws and regulations in order to prevent criminal and regulatory sanctions and ensuring a robust Due Diligence Process meeting all local regulatory and Group policy requirements

Key tasks and responsibilities include:

* Lead and manage a team of AML Compliance officers

* Provide guidance to Business Line Management on their responsibility for complying with all relevant AML Laws, Rules, Regulations and Group policies

* Evaluate and monitor existing procedures and develop new procedures, systems and controls to minimize the risk of the firm being used for financial crime and ensure the business is compliant with current anti-money laundering requirements

* Perform and report periodic controls including transaction monitoring, due diligence review of new and existing clients, and any other ad-hoc reviews through both manual and electronic means, for the purpose of identifying potential money laundering issues

* Develop, coordinate and implementation of the AML training and testing programmes

* Oversee management of all AML regulatory and internal audit reviews

* Design and deliver a robust AML training program to all business areas to achieve compliance with relevant Laws, Rules, Regulations and Group policies

* Prepare AML reporting metrics for senior management to highlight any compliance issues to be resolved and establish an action plan for any appropriate remedial measures

* Establish and maintain strong relationships with relevant industry groups in Singapore.
Requirements To be successful in this role, you should possess the following requisites:

* Degree graduate with at least 10 years of relevant experience, preferably within audit/ compliance/regulatory background.

* Prior knowledge in Wealth Management would be an advantage

* Solid knowledge of AML laws and regulations applicable to the Banking sector.

* Experience in AML and regulatory investigations.

* Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.

* Able to demostrate assertiveness, interact and proactively advise business and senior management.

* Strong analytical skills and thorough record-keeping abilities; attention to detail

* Able to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
