• Compliance: Liaise and work closely with relevant BASF personnel to understand and ensure the company’s policies/procedures/practices meet the group’s internal policies and guidelines and in line with the local legal requirements for effective receivables management and debt recovery.  Ensure timely submission of quality reports/data. 
  • EHS: Maintain a safe and healthy working environment by followingthe company’s EHS Policy and requirements and report any unsafe conditions and behaviours, including near miss and incident, to immediate superior.
  • Company policies: Identify, document, communicate and implement policies, procedures and guidelines.  Implement effective credit management function in line with sales strategies and local market practices to support business requirements.  Credit management function includes credit evaluation, receivables management and debt recovery strategy.
  • Operational excellence: For assigned areas, drive optimization and ensure effectiveness and efficiency of end-to-end process with users, customers and service providers such as shared service center, auditors and tax agent while maintaining adequate internal controls.  Manage and improve KPIs (DSO, overdue debts etc) as defined by BASF.  Proper management of service providers such as lawyer, debt collection agency or credit insurer.
  • Business partnering: For assigned business or functional units, support business needs by providing input and advice on finance/taxation to safeguard the interests of the company.
  • Projects: Effectively lead projects and ensure project deliverables and communicate effectively to all relevant parties; develop working relationship with regional teams and stakeholders to ensure that project rollouts are adopted/implemented and maintained appropriately.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Education: University Degree in Accounting, Finance or Banking or other equivalent professional qualification.
  • Working experience: Minimum 3 years’ of relevant working experience in MNCs or financial institutions.
  • Job Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of local credit management practices, receivables recording and management, recovery of debts, and relevant Vietnamese regulations.
  • Key competencies required: Communicate Effectively, Collaborate for Achievement and Customer Focus.
  • Good command of English and computer skills (excel and powerpoint).
 PREFERABLE QUALIFICATIONS (ADDITIONAL) :
  • Knowledge of general economic or business environment in Vietnam, industry trends and experience in optimizing systems and procedures.
