Job summary

The Red Hat Operations team is seeking an experienced Reporting and Analytics Supervisor to join us in Pune, India. In this role, you will manage the Reporting and Analytics team comprised of approximately 15 people, and supervise and coach your team members on a regular basis. You'll also collaborate with managers and executives to compile detailed booking forecasts, sales metrics, and economic models in support of Red Hat's Executive team, and manage renewals reporting, sales planning, and strategic analysis. As a Reporting and Analytics Supervisor, you'll play a key role in the cross-functional success of Red Hat's business.

Primary job responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Operations, Finance, and IT departments to support projects that develop repeatable and scalable processes and system logic for sales reporting
  • Compile, analyze, and interpret sales bookings data across all channels
  • Create business plans and dashboards to support process mapping and testing for a new implementation of Oracle
  • Participate in planning and analysis projects
  • Create spreadsheet models to support data-driven decision making
Required skills
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or statistics; minor in economics or statistics
  • Master's degree in business administration or equivalent degree in management or economics
  • 10+ years of related experience
  • Advanced skills with spreadsheets; experience managing large data sets, conducting time series analysis, and building financial models with sensitivity analysis
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with an ability to manage staff groups, major projects, and initiatives
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, and a collaborative management style
  • Prior people management experience
  • Ability to work collaboratively and a commitment to accomplishing tasks
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Experience working with sales, business consulting, or marketing teams; internships will be considered
  • Background in programming, scripting, or writing database SQL code
  • Experience with at least one data mining tool like BusinessObjects, SAS, or SPSS
  • Ability to take complex business logic and translate it into functional systems logic
  • Experience using economic or industry data in financial models
  • Willingness to work extended hours during periods of high demand, i.e. quarter or year end (this may include weekends)
  • Ability to deliver customer-focused results while maintaining an attention to detail
  • Passion for and understanding of open source technology
