• Ownership of Supplier Related Issues during NPI. Single point of contact for development engineering. 
• Support the Operations team in China and Japan.
• Leverage the Procurement / Sourcing (Category Managers), the Supplier Quality, as well as overall NPI resources. 
• Interface between NPI, Procurement, Supply Base, Supplier Quality and Development Engineering. 
• Supplier / Material Risk Identification and Actions. –Product Risk Register (quality, technical, cost, leadtime, etc) 
• Enhanced MRA. – Ensure proper mitigation are identified and completed at the right time. Working closely with Early Supplier Involvement team to identify SPF (Single Point of Failure) level and develop mitigation actions.
• Develop Project Level Sourcing Plan. – Right suppliers chosen via the right process at the right time. – Capture all unique part requirements. –Supplier Selection / Source Boards. – Sourcing strategy (dual/single, ESI required, etc) 
• Cost Management. Cost Tracking and Escalation. Ensure project level DM cost targets are set via the right process at the right time. Track cost and ensure gaps to plan are identified. 
• Manage material availability for proto/pilot/ramp/launch. 
• Component Qualification. Qualification plan and tracking. Priority and Escalation

Specific Knowledge/Skills 

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Telecommunication Engineering or equivalent with minimum 6 years working experience.
• Experience in Product Development/Manufacturing/Quality/TOP/ Commodity/Material Management is an added advantage.
• Candidate must be able to speak and write in both Mandarin & Japanese language.
• Self-motivated, assertive and results driven with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
