System Engineering for Mobile Broadband data products including embedded WWAN modem modules, USB dongles, WiFi hotspots, and Wireless CPE, used in multiple M2M verticals. 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  
* Responsible for leading North America customer tech requirements clarification;
* System Engineering interface with internal teams including HQ R&D SE, HQ SPDT, sales, marketing, ecosystem, pre-test, TA, etc.;
* System Engineer interface with external partners including chipset vendors, AP and platform integrators, and OS vendors.
* Responsible for NA product supporting including managing debugging critical issues and leading the resolution of issues across the program, in all disciplines.
* Other details of the job include:
o Help review program master schedule to ensure compliance.
o Assist in the development of product technical documentation and/or end user manuals.
o Participate in design reviews and coordinate or assure compliance to design or department checklists and procedures.
o Review product technical documentation and/or end user manuals.
o Interface with customer or supplier directly on a regular basis throughout the life cycle of program. 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Education:
   Minimum: Bachelor
   Preferred: Master
   Major/Discipline: EE, CE or equivalent

Relevant Work Experience
Minimum: 5+ years experience in one M2M vertical application engineering or system engineering position.
Preferred: 7+ years experience in one M2M vertical application engineering or system engineering position.

Skills & Abilities: Requirements include, but are not limited to:
* Experience in at least one detailed M2M vertical in terms of technical product development responsibility comprised of electronics board level, and low-level firmware development, WWAN services including USB driver and protocol, M2M SDK, M2M platform, with a later career emphasis on system engineering of those disciplines. Understands NA M2M industry, including major device, platform and service providers, NA Wireless Carriers, business models, supply chains, and sales channels;
* Familiar with NA M2M module products technical specifications, including RF bands, WWAN multi-mode chipsets and modules, interfaces, form factors, reliability. Understand the product feature requirements in different verticals;
* Familiar with M2M industry Standards, SDOs, and progresses; 
* Must be able to utilize core engineering and product development training and experience to be able to work closely with all discipline experts, e.g. RF expert, enough to understand all product technical requirements, and lead the NA system engineering work and work closely with HQ SEs during the entire program team through any and all issue resolution efforts.
* Must be able to multi-task with and understand/facilitate/guide a variety of disciplines such as low-level software/firmware development, product-level test and verification, product support, reliability, marketing, and business.
*  Self-starter. Ability to manage, influence, and set direction of multi-faceted, multi-disciplined teams and programs independently with minimal supervision.
* Must be willing to travel to suppliers, customers, world-wide Huawei design centers and factories.
* Experience in high volume manufacturing preferred. Strong business acumen required.
* This position will work with China HQ and it is necessary to have excellent written and verbal communication skills, fluent English and Chinese language reading, writing, and speaking, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work with Program Managers and Ecosystem Managers.
*  Must be able to articulate vision, and influence decision making and outcomes within hand with external suppliers.
* Team builder and Team Leader 
* Computer proficient and literate: fluent in MS Word, EXCEL, PowerPoint, and Project.
* Candidates should have previous WWAN M2M products system engineering experience (in both the technical and business domains).
* Working knowledge of MBB product architectures, design, test, and manufacturing a strong plus.
* Working knowledge of telecommunication standards
