The Corporate Operations Group (COG) provides specialist professional services, human resources, workplace infrastructure, technology and market operations to Macquarie's businesses. Business Improvement and Strategy (BIS) is a division of the Corporate Operations Group (COG). BIS works with Macquarie operating groups, support areas, funds and assets to assist with navigating complex business issues.

BIS offers strategic and operational advice to senior executives and facilitates cross-group initiatives.

Macquarie's Global Operational Excellence team is part of Macquarie's Business Improvement and Strategy (BIS) team. Key focus is to work across the whole of Macquarie to help Macquarie Group further improve its results.  BIS combines a strategic and operational approach with an understanding of Macquarie's business and key stakeholders to develop enduring profitable solutions.  The team consists of people with experience from most of the top tier consultancy firms with additional experience from industry around the world.  We can guarantee very interesting work with absolute top leadership support.

About the Role:

Macquarie's Operational Excellence team works group wide and globally, and is now looking to recruit a person to lead Macquarie's Operational Excellence work in Manila. This person will be the first Global Operational Excellence team member located in the Manila office, and we thus require a very experienced Operational Excellence practitioner. The person will report directly to Macquarie's Global head of Operational Excellence and to the Head of the Manila office.

  • Driving and leading the Manila part of Operational Excellence within Macquarie

  • Ensure staff get trained in Operational Excellence
  • At times support corporate and business unit strategy as well as global Operational Excellence initiatives

About You

To be successful in the role, in addition to the above, you have:

  • Significant consulting experience, ideally gained in a top tier consulting firm
  • Demonstrable implementation experience with Lean, Six Sigma, BPR or similar tools delivering clear bottom line results
  • A Bachelors Degree, ideally supplemented by an MBA or Masters
  • Ideally experience in the financial services shared service/back office industry
  • Significant experience in driving operational change
  • Excellent relationship and stakeholder management
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
  • Well structured written and verbal communications
  • Strong achievement drive and results focus
