Support activities for developing, implementing and administering the firm’s compensation policies and programs as well as supporting executive compensation initiatives.

Key responsibilities: 

Support the development, implementation and administration of our compensation programs, including job scoping/leveling, total comp delivery and alignment with performance management 

Help support the administration of incentive compensation, executive compensation, stock and related variable pay programs 

Oversee regular and ad hoc internal and market analyses and help coordinate survey submissions 

Support analysis to develop merit budgets, the annual performance review and merit process, and other ad hoc executive compensation proposals 

Participate in the development and implementation of compensation policies and procedures 

Ensure compliance with relevant labor laws and maintaining current knowledge of these laws and related regulations and trends affecting the compensation function 

Provide subject matter expertise to a functional team of compensation analysts/managers supporting a variety of business lines and programs 

Handle the compensation function’s response to a variety of audits 

Provide compensation expertise and support to integration/acquisition efforts 

Prepare compensation data, research, analysis, cost impact, and statistical information as needed. 

Participate in special projects as required 

Analyze market survey results to ensure current pay practices are current, cost effective and market competitive. 

Evaluate market and economic trends. Identify variances and develop recommendations. 

Analyze and models costs of proposed recommendations. 

Research various market data and select appropriate benchmarks. 

Ensure supplemental information, organizational charts, and other necessary information to properly analyze information are compiled for the evaluation process. 

Analyze the data and prepare short write-ups justifying cost analysis and pay levels or elements being recommended. 

Maintain reports and summaries of results. 

Maintain optimal knowledge of all SEC and IRS regulations for all compensation programs. 

Coordinate with subject matter experts to ensure compliance with legal regulations for compensation programs and assist talent acquisition and business partners to design compensation packages and analyze benchmarks. 

Analyze financial impact of comp packages and recommend improvements and prepare management reports for same and coordinate with tax and finance to manage compensation associated expenses. 

Maintain knowledge on accounting and tax requirements and analyze financial performance for compensation activities. 

Monitor new and existing compensation programs and prepare required data and monitor external competiveness. 

Perform surveys and analyze market data to maintain an efficient survey data library and for help in designing an effective competitive structure and recommended changes. 

Analyze and perform calculations on annual incentives, coordinate special projects, and provide training/education to business partners and other compensation professionals on applicable compensation processes. 

Collaborate with business partners and compensation managers for all compensation policies and coordinate with finance departments to help prepare accurate bonus accruals. 

Assist with gathering materials for presentation to compensation committee and evaluate executive compensation programs and features with help of benchmark data.

Qualifications:


Bachelor degree in a business-related field, ideally with an emphasis in human resources, finance, economics, statistics, mathematics, or accounting. 

Minimum of 3-5 years related compensation experience including data collection and analysis, strong working knowledge of executive compensation systems, practices, job evaluation methodology, and general principals of executive compensation administration. 

Experience working within a consulting, compensation department or finance firm is preferred. 

Solid technical knowledge and experience working with Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Basic programming experience is a plus. 

Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to: 

Gather, analyze and organize data using a logical and systematic process. 

Ascertain relevant and irrelevant data when conducting analytical work. 

Visualize and articulate problems and concepts in a systematic manner. 

Recognize patterns and issues in sets of data. 

Identify obstacles impeding project progression. 

Ability to present ideas in a business-friendly language and tailor communications, formal or informal, to the audience. 

Excellent interpersonal, verbal and writing skills are required. 

Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage and execute tasks in a high pressure environment. 

Strong attention to detail.
