The Client Manager JAPA role is focused on client satisfaction and retention while increasing profitability and driving premium revenue across diverse, global client relationships. The client manager’s role is increase non-transactional revenue through consultative sales skills, a sophisticated ability to synthesize client needs and identify innovative solutions, a strong understanding of the external market, and an in-depth knowledge of the power of the AXP value proposition. Working with a high-performing team in a collaborative environment, the client manager JAPA will ensure that client initiatives and expectations are fully delivered.

Responsibilities

  • Regional responsibilities for executing and coordinating business travel operations for a global client across markets in JAPA (Japan, Asia Pacific, Australia), working closely with Global client lead
  • Retain and grow global client travel program by understanding strategic (i.e., opportunities, threats) and tactical (i.e., risk, contract, fees) aspects of assigned account(s) across the JAPA (Japan, Asia Pacific, Australia) region; Build and execute comprehensive, robust, and strategic account plans to increase client profitable growth
  • Provide strategic direction and support to a group of high-performing client managers across JAPA markets
  • Understanding of clients’ business and AXP value proposition, products and services
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced evolving environment to influence, collaborate and coordinate with multiple stakeholders globally, regionally and/or locally
  • Effectively deploys AXP data, resources, and tools to deliver value, profitable growth and retention, and deepen client relationships;
  • Ensures premium value is delivered that aligns with clients goals and delivers a positive customer experience and achieves customer advocacy;
  • Fosters relationships with global, regional and /or local counterparts and collaborates with support groups (pricing, finance, marketing, business analytics GCO, contracts etc) to drive profitable growth, overcome obstacles and support business objectives
  • Meet compliance requirements by maintaining current signed contracts that includes Service Level Agreement, Pricing and Product Commitments

Requirements

  • Graduate with at least 7 years of client management experience and a strong understanding of Business Travel operations
  • Highly organized and self motivated, with ability to set strategic vision, build action plans and deliver results
  • Consultative selling and contract negotiation skills
  • Strong relationship skills to effectively influence both internal and external stakeholders and collaborate across diverse regional teams in order to drive results
  • Demonstrate competency in driving results, collaborating and influencing others, meeting and exceeding customer expectations and proven communication skills
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to communicate value proposition
  • Maturity, flexibility and patience to respond to dynamic work environment and ever-changing needs
  • Fluency in English and Cantonese; Additional languages, are advantageous
  • Strong MS Office product experience (Excel, Powerpoint, Word); Knowledge of Salesforce.com and Abacus is advantageous
  • MBA preferred
