Position Description Primarily this position will oversee the import process for all the GRP North American locations including Davenport, Lancaster, Hutchinson, Danville, Tennessee, Warrick, and San Antonio/Reno. The annual volume of imports at these locations is about 1,700 import entries representing about $61,000,000 in value and $250,000 in import duties and fees. In addition to import processing, this position will prepare NAFTA certifications, Country of Origin certifications, Manufacturers Affidavits, Importer Declarations, import valuations/classifications, Export Commercial Invoices, annual import reconciliations, import ASAT testing, and miscellaneous customer requests (REACH, Conflict Minerals, etc). This position reports to the GRP Trade Compliance Manager.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in a business related field
  • Proficient computer skills in the entire Microsoft Office suite
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Business Systems – Oracle, SAP, etc.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical and inquisitive skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work and problem solve independently
  • Demonstrated communication skills to interact daily with multiple Alcoa locations and outside brokers
Preferred Qualifications
  • Firm understanding of the US Customs regulations, ITAR, EAR and the Bureau of Alchohol, Tobacco and Firearms as well as Alcoa policies and procedures pertaining to imports. 
  • Demonstrated ability to continuously learn and independently keep current on the US Government regulatory requirements and the Alcoa policy and procedures with regard to import transaction processing. 
  • Knowledge of Alcoa business processes and systems is desirable, particularly Oracle General Ledger, SAP and Oracle Discoverer, database and querying tools.
  • MBA preferred.
