The Role

The Account Principal will play a key role on our Professional Services team, which delivers best-in-class services for our most strategic advertisers and media buying entities. This team specializes in high growth and constant innovation – driving advancements in measurement, data strategy, consumer insights, and buying models. We are a buyer’s trusted advisors and evangelists as the paradigm of data and programmatic buying touches more brands.

The Principal will own Right Media’s relationship with large global advertisers and international media buying entities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on, operational expertise in advertising technology, then leverage this expertise as a strategic consultant to bridge the gap between business and technology. Through a deep understanding of technology and our clients’ business models, the Principal will be responsible for partnering with clients to transform their business through data and technology.

Job Responsibilities

  • Engage with the leadership of advertisers and other large media buying entities
  • Provide highly proactive client management by:
    • Developing, educating, and selling the long-term vision
    • Managing change within complex organizations
    • Recommending avenues for client revenue growth, optimization, performance lift, etc through your understanding of our platform and trends in the US and international markets
  • Technology platform fluency to help develop solutions through facility with relationships and process
    • Understand client needs and facilitate product enhancements/workarounds with our engineering teams
    • Interpret, track, and bring to resolution product issues and bugs with engineering teams
  • Ensure contract renewals by identifying and executing upsell opportunities
  • Provide stability and mentorship to junior members of the team

Qualifications

  • BS, BA or MS
  • Must have proactive, entrepreneurial spirit; comfortable in fluid environments
  • Demonstrated client management and consultative selling skills around technology (i.e. no engineering degree required, but comfortable conducting a product demonstration while pitching a new capability)
  • Track record of success in global markets + Japanese fluency and experience a very large plus
  • Analytical thinker who can quickly establish rapport with clients
  • Minimum 2 years in advertising technology or digital ad operations, and minimum 5 years in relationship management
