Janelle Neva-Aaker Council Co-Chair |
Janelle Neva-Aaker is the Global Retail Consumer Education Manager for Nike, Inc. A long-time supporter of diversity and inclusion, Janelle currently Co-Chairs the Asia Pacific Employee & Friends Network and is a past-chair of the Native American & Friends Network. She also serves on Nike’s Employee Diversity Council and is an outspoken proponent for diversity and women’s advancement in the workforce.
In her previous HR role as Nike’s University Relations Manager, Janelle worked closely with universities, diverse student organizations and national associations to recruit the best and brightest talent.
Prior to joining Nike, Janelle was the Assistant Director of Admissions/Director of Multicultural Recruitment at the University of Portland. She ran multicultural programs for the university and sat on various scholarship committees.
Janelle earned her bachelor’s degree in Environmental Ethics & Policy from the University of Portland. She also has a graduate diploma in Environmental History from the University of St. Andrews, Scotland.
Janelle’s passions include travel, sports, dance, volunteering, leadership, and equality.

Ouraphone Siri-Outhay Council Co-Chair |
Ouraphone Siri-Outhay joined UnitedHealth Group in September 2008 as the Director of Diversity Recruiting. She’s responsible for developing and leading the diversity recruiting strategy for the corporation. In addition, she is a member of the Diversity and Inclusion Council, a group comprised of leaders throughout the organization that provides overall guidance, feedback and direction on the corporation’s diversity efforts.
Prior to joining UHG, Ouraphone was a Diversity Manager at Target Corporation, where she was responsible for leading diversity awareness and communications and diversity recruiting in Target’s stores, distribution centers and corporate headquarters. Ouraphone also has over 17 years of retail experience, having held various positions at Target in Internal Communications, Target Technology Services, and the Target Adoption Network. She also was a founding member and co-leader of Target’s Asian American Business Council, where she helped to increase membership by over 100% in three years.
Ouraphone was recently appointed the co-lead for the Asian MBA Women’s Leadership Council where she helps to fulfill the Council's vision and mission of advancing and empowering women professionals across industry sectors and globally. She has also been featured as a thought leader in the May/June 2009 issue of Diversity Journal. She has shared her diversity expertise as a public speaker at events sponsored by Asian MBA, The Minnesota Corporate Asian Network, the Minnesota Diversity Council’s Diversity Education Task Team, and the National Association for Asian American Professionals.
Ouraphone graduated with a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Minnesota, with an emphasis in public relations. She serves on the National Corporate Board of the National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBA) and the Corporate Advisory Boards of the Minnesota chapter of the Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting (ALPFA) and Ascend Pan-Asian Leaders.
