NAAMBA Student Chapter Guidelines

 

  • NAAMBA Student Chapters fall under a Professional category as opposed to a Social/Cultural category and work within the protocols/guidelines of respective academic institution as well as these guidelines
  • All students/faculty affiliated/involved in the development/formation/running of the Student Chapters fully agree with the vision and mission of NAAMBA and work to promote NAAMBA's mission through respective Student Chapter
  • All student officers for each Student Chapter must fully understand Student Chapter guidelines and protocols as set forth by their respective academic institution and at all times must operate within those guidelines and protocols as well as these guidelines
  • NAAMBA National, to the extent possible, provides support and guidance to the Student Chapters as well as facilitates leads and contacts
  • NAAMBA Student Chapters welcome participation from Pan-Asian students as well as other groups in order to maintain true diversity of ideas, perspectives and approaches
  • An Academic Advisor must be appointed for each Student Chapter to provide guidance and advice
  • Chapter Officers are elected and appointed based on the guidelines and protocols set forth by the institution. In an absence of such guidelines and protocols, NAAMBA National will work with the students to appoint Chapter Officers.
  • All marketing collateral is developed on campus with inputs for content from NAAMBA National
  • Respective academic institution allocates funds (upon approval based on the process set forth by the institution) needed to carry out the Chapter's activities and programs
  • Student Officers are expected to maintain a robust social media presence as well as provide content for Student Chapter page on NAAMBA website (this website)

 

Student Chapter Activities

 

NAAMBA Student Chapters will hold periodic events on campus as well as, where possible, bring Student Delegations to the Annual NAAMBA Leadership Conference and Exposition.

 

Student Chapter Formation Process

 

NAAMBA Student Chapters are a great way for students to get involved with NAAMBA. They also provide for a unique opportunity for academic institutions to be a part of a vibrant, professional organization driven to advance and empower Pan-Asian professionals globally.

 

All NAAMBA Student Chapters operate within the protocols of respective academic institution while also adhering to internal NAAMBA guidelines.

 

Objectives of NAAMBA Student Chapters

  • Advance the vision and mission of NAAMBA
  • Inspire students to take their careers to new heights
  • Provide exceptional networking and professional development opportunities for the students through myriad NAAMBA resources
  • Actively engage academic institutions in providing opportunities for diverse student body
  • Build a volunteer and membership base for NAAMBA

 

If you are interested in starting a NAAMBA Student Chapter, please follow these steps:

  • Contact your school administrators to find out what the requirements (if any) are and whether or not there is a Professional Student Chapter/Club category at your school. NAAMBA Student Chapters belong to professional category. Please collect Student Chapter Formation Handbook before contacting us.
  • Connect with a faculty member who can serve as an Academic Advisor for the Student Chapter.
