• Support regional HPC/Foods innovation projects with advice to the [Technical] Project Leaders and/or the Category RA Managers concerning the local regulatory situation/environment.
• Act as first point of contact for R&D and business partners regarding HPC/Food regulatory matters, in liaison with Legal and External Affairs.
• Be accountable for regulatory compliance for all HPC/Food products placed on the local market (and related activities), especially by providing advice to TM for compliance tasks and approval from a regulatory perspective of use of claims as required by Claims process in very close relation / interaction with Marketing Teams.
• Accountable for Regulatory support and advice to Innovation Teams along the innovation funnel.
• Provide expert interpretation of existing HPC/Food legislations and understanding of impact in the country of anticipated legislation.
• Provide HPC/Food regulatory training to local R&D resource and, as required, to other functions like Brand building, Communications, etc.
• Represent Unilever in local (can also be Regional) HPC/Food trade associations and other relevant external bodies as agreed with EU RA and local PA.
• Drive advocacy plans for Unilever on HPC/Food related dossiers in agreement with global / regional RA Teams and Public Affairs.
• Lead relationship with the authorities on technical regulatory matters.
• Team Leadership: lead a Team of 8 people, including a Manager. Team covering all Unilever Categories on Personal Care, Foods and Home Care.

Qualification

• 5 years experience in FMCG company or trade association
• Degree in relevant subject (Law, Food Technology, Chemistry, QA)
• Proven record in leadership and dynamic type of person
