As an integral part of CMS, this individual would provide operational support and advice to key stakeholders (Acquisitions, Chief Content Officers, Networks General Managers, Business Development, etc). Turner Broadcasting Senior Analyst in Hong Kong Hong Kong

  • Manage APAC's Data Repository, monitoring accurate update of actuals (expense and usage) coming from Broadcast Management Systems.

  • Input and update pending and planned rights acquisition projects into Data Repository.

  • Monitor overall accuracy and consistency of the region's Data Repository Budget & Forecast

  • Lead APAC's Budget & LRP process related to content (expenses and cash flow), working alongside key stakeholders identified above.

  • Assist local finance planners with reporting deliverables to CP&R; and IP&R; for budget and forecast purposes.

  • Conduct monthly forecast revision with input from Acquisitions/Chief Content Officers (re-forecast) and communicate changes to Finance/Accounting Analysis & Consulting

  • Support key stakeholders' decision making regarding content rights by providing timely and accurate expense and cash flow information.

  • Leverage Data Repository's analytical capabilities to facilitate scenario planning exercises for budget and forecast, as well as ad-hoc projects.

  • Support CMS projects with key metrics related to content use and planned content needs. Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics or relevant equivalent; MBA preferred

  • Strong analytical skills, with emphasis on financial matters (minimum of 3 years)

  • Proficient in the use of finance/accounting and analytical related technological platforms (Peoplesoft, Hyperion Planning, Oracle-based tools, etc)

  • Strong detail orientation coupled with the ability to manage competing priorities with stringent deadlines.

  • Finance Expertise. 1) Advanced Budgeting, long range planning and forecasting skills, 2) Intermediate management reporting skills, and 3) Advanced financial analysis skills.

  • Diagnosing and Solving Problems. Intermediate problem analysis, information gathering and solution development skills.

  • Applying Business and Industry Insight. Intermediate media industry and Turner specific knowledge.

  • Effective Communication. Intermediate verbal and written communication skills, as well as intermediate presentation skills.
