The Strategic Business Development Director is Responsible and accountable for strategic business development initiatives in major government and private project to build Philips brand and new business in the country.  Also responsible for marketing planning, market intelligence, Marketing Communication (Marcom) budget.

Your responsibilities

  • Develop strategic growth opportunities for Indonesia based on the longer term growth plan with clear assessment of local market intelligence and changing industry dynamics.
  • Create, analyze and work with Senior Management and the Businesses to execute key strategic growth options.
  • Create marketing plan for products and services identified as key strategic growth and/or thought leadership initiatives
  • Identify and Secure Key External Organizational Alliances
  • Develop overall country marketing strategy and ensure successful implementation
  • Responsible for Marcom including regional Marcom events, stakeholder events and regional brand programs (with Area Marketing Officer)
  • Provide actionable market data and analysis to the cluster and Regional Management teams 
  • Identify & address new market segments & opportunities
  • Drive cross LoB needs-based business innovation
  • Develop and implement customer differentiation strategies
  • Participate in Sales & Marketing Centre Steering Committee to drive cluster and regional requirements
  • Manage Regional Market Intelligence Managers and Marketing Specialists
  • Evaluate the effectiveness and return of marketing programs. Continuously adapt and improve marketing processes and programs to reflect changing business needs and to improve opportunity management
  • Active role in stakeholder management, representing Philips in industry and clinical associations

  Your profile

  • Degree level education or equivalent, MBA from reputable University preferred
  • Prior B2B/B2G experience in the Healthcare space
  • Broad experience in Marketing (especially in B2B Marketing)
  • Fluent in English, verbal and written in addition to local language
  • Sales & Marketing track record of success with a MNC health care organization.
  • Experience in medical technology is preferred
  • Some consultancy background would be advantageous
  • Emerging market experience with residence in emerging markets preferred
  • Track record of building strong relationships with government officials, regulators and key opinion leaders in emerging markets
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize investments and drive overall financial performance
