This position is responsible for leading the development and execution of strategies for Micro Motion, Rosemount Flow and Emerson Process Management; resulting in profitable growth through increased participation on strategic projects in North America. This role will work closely with corporate-wide resources to provide comprehensive product, service and solutions on strategic projects.  He or she will optimize opportunities for Micro Motion, Rosemount Flow, and Emerson Process Management to create mutually valued productivity, growth and profitability.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Be the voice and advocate of Micro Motion and Rosemount Flow for engagement, investment and support of North America Project Pursuit teams to grow the flow content on all strategic projects
  • Oversee the development of sales strategy: forging relationships with defined end users, partners, LBP’s, engineering contractors, etc. to successfully win the pursuit which will include travel to other world areas for Emerson Process Management 
  • Maintain direct involvement throughout the project pursuit lifecycle including sales pursuit, proposal generation / submittal and contract negotiations
  • Communicate with PMO group on upcoming projects that will be part of their scope once an order is placed for increased efficiency on executing on projects
  • Utilize a pre-defined project pursuit methodology which includes opportunity qualifications and screening, sales team assignments, communications planning, sales strategy developments, executive management involvement and reporting, proposal planning, competitive analysis, customer business analysis, risk analysis and mitigation, and pursuit success probability
  • Maximize the project win ratio while winning at a price premium based on a differentiated business case and customer value creation
  • Develop strategic and tactical steps throughout the sales pursuit lifecycle
  • Leverage the solution selling models endorsed by Emerson Sales Management and tools developed by the Industry Solutions Group, Flow Solutions Group, and Flow Marketing where applicable
  • Increase the focus on customer problems to be solved using technology, products, services, process and people as enablers

Job Requirement

Education:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related technical field. MS or MBA preferred.

Experience:

  • 5-7 years of experience in sales leadership, account management or related industry marketing experience required. Good written and verbal presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage vision and purpose through cross functional teams
  • Candidates with a Business Degree and strong proven technical acumen with 5 to 10 years of proven strategic and technical selling, account management or site management may also be considered.
