Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Decision Analyst located in Bangkok, Thailand through August 31, 2014 at 11:59 p.m. (EST). Position Details: The BU D&EA group is the Decision and Economic Analysis as well as Policy 90 support center for its six profit centers (Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam) and for ASBU management. As part of the BU Strategy and Planning department, D&EA team provides this support in close coordination with the Planning and CSOC functions.

Ensure full compliance with Corporate Policy190; endorser of economics for all BU major capital projects and key strategic projects/activities. The opening is for an experienced decision analyst with the following skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to: • Be a subject matter expert in Decision Analysis (DA) and possesses an experience in utilizing DA tool to evaluate decision quality and deterministic and probabilistic economics in accordance with Corporate Investment Manual guidelines. • Demonstrates ability to deliver strong and robust decision quality through appropriate use of Capital Stewardship Organizational Capability (CSOC). • Possesses practical DA experience in the following areas: major capital projects, acquisitions, divestitures, exploration. • Provides facilitation of framing sessions and alternative generation; understanding of international fiscal terms. • Experiences with probabilistic analysis tools such as Crystal Ball software. • Be able to build and analyze fit for purpose model building for variety of applications; has experience providing model review/peer support for major capital projects. • Requires familiarity with Policy 190 guidelines and Table of Commitment authority in order to ensure full compliance on Policy 190 items for the BU. In addition to appropriation requests, includes look-backs, exploration commitments, operational commitments, acquisitions, divestitures, commodity transactions, etc.

Qualifications: • Bachelor degree in Business Administration or an Engineering degree with or without MBA. Upstream experience preferred. • Minimum 5 years of working experienced in planning, finance, engineering, or operations in the Oil and Gas industry. • Demonstrate pro-activity in driving results, implementing change and setting direction. • Proven ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with all internal & external stakeholders. • Demonstrate inter-personal skills that have facilitated consensus-building among internal & external stakeholders even with only influence and without reporting relationships. • Has a high capacity for managing multiple deadlines and changing priorities. • Displays high level of ownership and ability to work independently. Demonstrates strategic thinking and organization abilities. Willingness, aptitude, and commitment for further development in DA. • Excellent verbal & written communication & presentation skills.
