As the Section Chief of the Design team at BA India, you will be responsible to participate directly in the structural design activities for new product development, sustaining programs, core engineering and R&D programs. This includes design activities involving airframe structures, interiors, and structural provisions for interiors and systems.You will lead a team of highly skilled and specialized engineers. You will support your team in order for each employee to reach their goals and deliverables. You will need to maintain technical knowledge in your field of expertise.
In your role, you will:
- Participate in manpower planning activities
- Delegate and organize resources to meet requirements of the projects
- Define individual workload for your teams
- Perform employees performance reviews and support the employee in their development plans
- Participate in the recruitment and integration of new employees
- Define individual team goals and expected results in order to support the department orientation
- Provide technical leadership, coaching, mentoring, training on a regular basis to your team
- Coordinate engineering projects internally or externally with partner design teams
- Set objectives and coordinate technical reviews in your field of expertise
- Have a wide knowledge of the departments technical issues and be responsible for assigning the best
- Have the resources available in order to solve the issues.

Qualifications
As our ideal candidate,
- You possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering
- You have a minimum of 10 years experience in a design engineering field
- You have a specialist level of knowledge of structural design principles, tools and processes
- You have proven leadership competencies
- You have strong communication skills in English
