Program Overview The Finance Management Development Program (FMDP) is an industry-leading program that creates a talent pipeline for our Financial Management Development Program (FMDP) in Abbott’s worldwide organization. The selected candidate is assigned to an existing finance team where they directly support a local or an international business unit. Abbott MBA Finance will have an impact on the business through their effective financial analysis. The assignments will provide a good overview on the healthcare industry.

Members are full-time Abbott employees recruited from top MBA schools globally.

Program High lights • Quality Mentors - Each FMDP will be matched to a well-regarded leader that will serve as their mentor through the entire length of the program. The FMDP mentor will be instrumental in the development of the growth plan and assignment planning. • Assignment - Each FMDP member will spend 36 months in the program, during which time he/she can expect to complete three separate professional work assignments (2 assignments in VN and 1 assignment in aboard) • Regular Feedback - FMDP participants will receive feedback through the Abbott Performance Excellence process. However, it will be administered more aggressively/frequently than the typical employee involving the participant, his/her mentor and the program manager at both the mid-point and end of each work experience. • Program Administration - The FMDP is fully supported and endorsed. There is executive level sponsorship, and there are dedicated resources in Abbott Finance who focus entirely on the administration of various development programs.
