The NAAMBA Board of Directors sets the policies of the organization, appoints senior management personnel, and oversees financial matters. Andrea Hahn

Andrew T. Hahn, Sr.
Partner, Duane Morris LLP

 

 

Andrew T. Hahn, Sr. practices in the areas of litigation and employment law. Throughout his career practicing in private law firms, Mr. Hahn has handled various commercial litigation cases. Since November, 2007, Mr. Hahn has been certified as a Neutral for the American Arbitration Association.

 

Mr. Hahn received his J.D. from Cornell Law School in 1986, and a B.A. in History, cum laude, from Cornell University in 1983, where he was also commissioned as a Distinguished Military Graduate from the Army ROTC Program. He served on active duty as a Captain of the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General's Corps from 1986 to 1990, and on reserve status from 1990 to 1996.

 

Mr. Hahn is currently the Immediate Past President of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (“NAPABA”). As President of NAPABA, he has briefed on numerous occasions the White House Counsel, U.S. Senators, and the U.S. Attorney General on issues regarding appointments of APA attorneys. He also served a one-year term in 2004 as the President of the Asian American Bar Association of New York (“AABANY”). He is also active as a Board member with the Korean American Lawyers Association of Greater New York, which bestowed upon him the honor of a Trailblazer’s Award in February 2008.

 

 

Lily Tang
Lead, NAAMBA Board of Directors

 

 

Lily Tang brings a portfolio of experiences as an entrepreneur, an educator, and a consultant to her role as Lead Director of the NAAMBA Board of Directors. Her commitment to NAAMBA’s mission to drive innovative, insightful, inclusive leadership in global enterprises is a primary motivation behind her dedication to philanthropy and building community.

Lily is a former assistant professor of psychology at Union College in New York, a former journalist for Forbes, and a retired CEO of an international business. She is active with a number of organizations, including the Medici Group, the FutureWork Institute, the NeuroLeadership Institute, the Charles B. Wang Community Health Clinic, and LEAP. In her consulting work, Lily has overseen organizational development projects for Fortune 500 companies across Europe, South America, Asia and the Americas in industries ranging from finance to manufacturing and healthcare. She has teamed with global NGOs to provide innovative solutions to human capital challenges in the developing economies of India and Africa.

Lily's background includes a doctorate in developmental psychology and a master’s degree in counseling from the State University of New York at Albany; a master’s degree in business administration from Rutgers University and bachelor's degrees in psychology and art history.

Lily lives with her family in Brooklyn, NY. She enjoys gardening and the low-contact sport of belly dancing.

 

 

Mark Szollar

Mark Szollar
Advertising Director of Diversity, Recruitment and Sports Marketing

Mark has been at The New York Times for 27 years and has worked in a variety of Positions and Departments in his career. Currently he is the Advertising Director of Diversity, Recruitment and Sports Marketing.

 

In addition to being on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Asian MBA’s, Mark is also an active member of the National Society of Hispanic MBA’s, as well as “VOCES”, the New York Times Hispanic-American Affinity Group. He is also on the Advisory Board for the National Association of Black Sports Professionals, as well as the Advisory Board for Veterans Across America. Mark was also a judge of the 2006 Out and Equal, “OUTIE” awards. In addition, in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010 Mark was invited to the World Diversity Conference held in Prague, the United Nations, Washington, DC and most recently Harvard University, to moderate a panel on how Sports brings people from Diverse Cultures together.

 

In addition to his professional career, in 2003, Mark was inducted into the Youth Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY, (not as a player but as an umpire). He loves youth baseball and volunteers his time umpiring Little League and Babe Ruth baseball.

 

Mark graduated in 1980 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Resource Recreation Management from Oregon State University and he received his MBA in Business Administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1989.

 

 

Steven Pae

Executive Director, Morgan Stanley

 

Steven Pae is currently Executive Director in Morgan Stanley's Institutional Securities Group. Steve heads product development globally for Morgan Stanley's Electronic Trading. Steve graduated from Cornell University in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science from the Engineering School. Steve also received his MBA from New York University Stern Business School in 1998. Prior to Morgan Stanley, Steve has been at Goldman Sachs and Bank of America in various roles in electronic trading and technology.

 

Steve is on Morgan Stanley's undergraduate recruiting team for Cornell University and co-captains Institutional Equities' MBA recruiting at NYU. Steve is also actively involved in diversity efforts both within and outside the firm.

 

 

Tariq Khan
Founder & CEO, Global Diversity Marketing, Inc.

 

 

Tariq Khan is a recognized business leader in marketing, branding, segmentation, customer relationship, social media services, and diversity arena. Tariq’s work, interviews and articles have been published in several trade and industry publications. He is the founder and CEO of Global Diversity Marketing, Inc., a management consulting firm focused on helping organizations to better understand the changing marketplace. Global Diversity Marketing client list includes companies like Wells Fargo, MoneyGram, Pacific Life Insurance Company, Prudential, AXA, and United Healthcare.

 

Tariq has had a distinguished twenty-year career, mostly at global Fortune companies including MetLife, Nationwide, and ING. Tariq has held several senior management roles with the major fortune companies. In his last corporate position, Tariq was senior vice president and head of market development for ING, where he led ING’s strategy to expand growing emerging markets. During his corporate career, Tariq has developed several award winning marketing and branding campaigns including some of the most popular programs for the African American, Asian, Hispanic, and Women’s market. He has played a critical role in developing innovative marketing campaigns to reach customers.

 

Tariq has equally impressive contributions in the non-profit area. He is a board of director at the Asian and Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund, the largest U.S. organizations devoted to scholarships for Asian and Pacific Islander American students. Tariq is also a board of director at the Asian Pacific Institute for Congressional Studies (APAICS), a national non-partisan, non-profit organization dedicated to promoting Asian Pacific American participation and representation at all levels of the political process, from community services to elected office. Tariq is also a board of director at the National Association of Asian MBAs (NAAMBA).

 

Tariq is also an adjunct professor of marketing and public relations at New York University SCPS. Tariq earned a bachelor’s degree in international marketing and advertising from Baruch College, New York, an MBA in marketing and management from St. John’s University, New York, and an Executive Management Certificate from Babson College, MA.
